Not just asana
Most yoga in Singapore strips away everything except the physical postures. Hindu Centre’s Vedic Yoga reconnects the practice with its philosophical roots — pranayama, chanting, meditation, and the study of texts like the Yoga Sutras.
This is not a gym class. It is a spiritual practice with 5,000 years of tradition behind it. Whether you come for flexibility or meaning, you will find both.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need experience to join?
No. Our classes welcome complete beginners. Each session is structured so you can participate meaningfully from your first visit.
Is this religious?
Vedic Yoga is rooted in Hindu philosophy, but our classes are open to everyone regardless of faith. You don’t need to be Hindu to practise or benefit.
What should I bring?
A yoga mat if you have one (we have spares), comfortable clothing, and a water bottle. Arrive 10 minutes early for your first session.
What is Vedic Chanting?
A meditative practice of reciting Sanskrit mantras and hymns from the Vedas. No prior knowledge of Sanskrit is required — we teach the pronunciation and meaning as we go.
